This sucks! Started
looking at how the Dodgers and Giants pitching rotations were going to matchup
on the series that’s going to start next Monday at Dodger Stadium and it seems that
Clayton Kershaw and Tim Lincecum (who combined have won 3 of the last 4 NL Cy
Young’s) won’t be the starting pitchers of their respective teams on the same
night.
Tim Lincecum is scheduled
to be the starting pitcher for the Giants on their game tomorrow (Friday) against
the Brewers in San Francisco, while Clayton Kershaw was the starting pitcher
for the Dodgers on their loss against the Rockies last night (Wednesday).
If the “Freak” pitches
on a 4 day rest (which seems that will happen) he would be the starting pitcher
on the Wednesday game (May 9th), but Kershaw would have to rest 6
days for the desired pitching duel between these 2 aces to happen.
Probable pitchers in
the Dodgers vs. Giants series:
Ted Lilly vs. Barry
Zito
Clayton Kershaw vs.
Ryan Vogelsong
Chad Billingsley vs.
Madison Bumgarner
